Want to test drive the most customizable ERP platform in the market?

We're excited to share our public MCP server at https://mcp.tailor.tech/ to help technical roles and operational leaders use AI assistants to build and customize their ERP on the Tailor Platform.

What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP)?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a standardized way for AI systems and LLMs to interact with other systems, apps, and data sources. Learn more about MCP from Anthropic.

If you’ve ever used Claude or ChatGPT to perform tasks involving outside systems, you’ve probably been prompted by your AI chatbot to choose what tools and actions the AI needs to proceed.

With Tailor MCP, you can connect the full content of the Tailor Platform documentation to any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, AI assistants can search and read current docs while helping you design a schema, configure auth, or write against the SDK.

The server is free to use for all Tailor users and read-only, meaning it serves documentation only and never sees your application data.

Empowering forward-thinking operators with AI accessibility

Most of our customers are retail brands with lean operations and technology teams. They might work with an implementation partner or agency, and their tools change as they grow. Adding a new sales channel, warehouse or AI assistant for internal use shouldn’t require months of scoping and technical research.

Now, more and more users build on Tailor alongside an AI assistant. Developers ask Claude how to model a relationship in TailorDB. Operations leads ask ChatGPT how an Executor trigger works before they scope a project. Partners use Cursor to scaffold an integration.

The Tailor MCP Server gives AI assistants a direct line to the same docs pages our own team uses in a structured way, including a page URL citation with every result.

Works with the AI tools you already use

  • Claude (web, desktop, mobile)
  • ChatGPT
  • Claude Code
  • Cursor
  • VS Code
  • Codex
  • Any other MCP client

Learn more about connecting an MCP client in this technical guide: Give AI Assistants the Tailor Platform Docs with MCP.

What can you build with Tailor MCP?

Here are some ways you can work with Tailor’s public MCP server:

Job Question Result
Scope an integration “What does Tailor document for connecting Shopify and QuickBooks?” The integration guides that apply, and where to start
Model your data “How do I define a TailorDB type with a relationship to another type?” The relevant schema pattern, with links to the TailorDB pages it came from
Set up auth “What are the redirect URI requirements for a public OAuth2 client in Tailor Auth?” The specific requirements from the Auth guide
Build the interface “Show me how AppShell file-based routing maps directories to pages.” How routing works, drawn from the AppShell docs
Automate a process “Compare Executor triggers and StateFlow for reacting to record changes.” A side-by-side visual drawn from both guides, with citations
